The Power of the Imagination

This piece was done for the themed topic of 'Power' for my reps over at The Drawing Book Studios. My interpretation explores the power of a child's imagination. Digitally inked and coloured in Photoshop.

Hi, Chris, this is awesome. I hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you digitally ink these lines?? I can't tell the difference between a brush and these lines.

Hi Scott.

I ink in Photoshop and I'm using a Cintiq. Usually I try and do each stroke spontaneously to give the line fluidity and life. Usually this involves a stroke/undo repeated process. Stroke (looks crap), undo, stroke (looks crap), undo etc until I get the line I want. With practice you can do it with less undos. Hope that made sense. :)

Chris,
This is just killer! I know how hard it is to ink in photoshop but you make this just look flawless.

Thanks Philip!

This was an overnight job. From rough to finish maybe about 8-10 hours work.
